Ruth Shmylo is on trial accused of getting a five-month relationship with “manipulative” drug seller Harri Pullen.

Jurors at Cardiff Crown Courtroom have been informed on Tuesday that Ms Shmylo, 26, was sacked from HMP Parc, in Bridgend, in April 2021 following “issues” over her relationships with inmates.

Dan Hayman, head of safety, informed the trial that Ms Shmylo had been warned about skilled boundaries 4 months earlier.

Giving proof, Mr Hayman mentioned that after Ms Shmylo was sacked, Pullen’s “manner” and “conduct” went downhill.

Mr Hayman mentioned Pullen was positioned right into a segregated unit earlier than ultimately being moved to HMP Manchester – referred to as Strangeways.
