THREE RIVERS — A fiery obituary accusing a useless girl and others of a myriad of abuses resulted within the writer pulling the piece on-line.

Each hyperlink to go to the obituary for “Linda Lernal Harvey Cullum Smith Stull” now results in an error web page.

“Obit was run in TR (Three Rivers) print version (Dec. 15). It was submitted by means of our web site, and was printed and not using a good look on our half,” Mike Wilcox, writer of Wilcox Newspaper, wrote in an electronic mail to the Sturgis Journal. “We took it down from (the) web site after complaints about its content material poured in. After taking (it) down, a number of (principally the daughter) complaints and telephone calls have been acquired admonishing us for doing so.”

The prolonged obituary asserting the girl’s Dec. 12 loss of life in Three Rivers features a checklist of alleged wrongdoings, together with condoning sexual assault in opposition to her daughter, Gayle Harvey Heckman, and mendacity to her daughter about who her organic father was.

“As a mom, Lernal was violent, hateful, and merciless. She bodily, mentally, emotionally, verbally, and financially abused Gayle,” the print obituary reads, partially.

The obituary explicitly names one alleged abuser, an ex-husband whom The Journal is not going to title.

“Lernal accused Gayle of ‘attempting to steal her husband’ and proceeded to beat her senselessly,” the obit reads.

A number of telephone numbers listed for Heckman have been not in service Wednesday. She couldn’t be reached instantly for remark.

“Gayle and her household forgive Lernal and hope that she has discovered peace,” the obit ends. “Additionally they hope to search out peace inside themselves. Lernal is not going to be missed by Gayle or her household. All of them perceive the world is a a lot better place with out her.”
