BRUSSELS (Reuters) – European Union international coverage chief Josep Borrell made a thinly veiled name on Monday for the US to rethink its navy assist to Israel because of the excessive variety of civilian casualties within the warfare in Gaza.

Borrell recalled that U.S. President Joe Biden stated final week that Israel’s response to the Oct. 7 Hamas assault had been “excessive” and U.S. officers had repeatedly stated that too many civilians have been being killed in Gaza.

“Effectively, should you consider that too many individuals are being killed, perhaps it is best to present much less arms with a view to forestall so many individuals being killed,” Borrell informed reporters after a gathering of EU improvement assist ministers in Brussels.

“If the worldwide group believes that this can be a slaughter, that too many individuals are being killed, perhaps now we have to consider the supply of arms,” he added.
