CHICAGOA convicted felon who has been free on digital monitoring awaiting trial on murder and attempted murder charges is now again behind bars after a startling discovery was made inside his Chicago house.

Bertell Johnson had been out on bond since Could 2021.

Earlier this month, the Cook dinner County Sheriff’s Workplace says investigators discovered a number of weapons, ammunition, and suspected narcotics inside his Chicago Lawn house after he posted photographs on social media of himself carrying a semi-automatic rifle and a handgun modified with a “swap” that turns the weapon totally automated.

The objects found through the search, based on the sheriff’s workplace, embrace:

  • Assault rifle

  • Three handguns, together with one with a defaced serial quantity and an auto-switch hooked up

  • One high-capacity 50-round drum journal

  • An prolonged 9mm journal

  • Two empty 9mm magazines
