The Clay County North Carolina Sheriff’s Workplace stated a 50-year-old Cities County lady was arrested after a site visitors cease on U.S. Freeway 64.

In keeping with North Carolina deputies, Brenda Anne Baldwin, of Hiawassee, was driving a Jeep Patrion close to Fires Creek Highway in Hayesville, N.C. when she was pulled over.

Deputies checked her identification and located she had an impressive warrant from Cities County and she or he was arrested.

When requested by deputies if she had any medicine on her individual, she stated she didn’t.

A sergeant on the scene informed her that if she entered their county detention heart with medicine, she would face further costs along with possession of medicine she had.

Whereas en path to the Clay County Detention Heart, Baldwin informed deputies she had medicine in her sock.

On the facility, a white crystal-like substance suspected to be methamphetamine and 14 inexperienced drugs suspected of being a Schedule IV Managed Substance had been taken out of Baldwin’s sock, in response to the sheriff’s workplace.

She was charged with felony possession of methamphetamine and illegal possession of a Schedule IV Managed Substance, deputies stated.

Since Baldwin later informed deputies that she did have medicine in her sock, she was not charged with the extra critical offense of bringing medicine right into a detention facility, the sheriff’s workplace stated.

Because of the excellent warrant from Georgia for her arrest, Baldwin was not allowed bond for launch.
